As well as learning how to get the best results from your camera, we will also be exploring historical and contemporary photographers. And IGNITING your creativity, passion and flare to start creating your own individual portfolios which can be used to continue your passion for photography or use for a platform for Further or Higher Education.
As well as this we’ll be looking at fashion photographer and its influences;
Louise Dahl-Wolfe was especially well-known during the infancy of colour fashion photography for her exacting standards in reproducing her images. Her insistence on precision in the colour transparencies made from her negatives resulted in stunning prints whose subtle hues and unusual gradations in colour set the standard for elegance in the 1940s and 1950s.
We’ll be looking at Documentary Photography in particular Ed Paca who is a photojournalist living in Switzerland, who travels to various corners of the world capturing the characters and stories he encounters along the way.
And lastly we’ll be exploring the Fine Art Genre of Photography in particular Karl Blossfeldt (1865–1932) who is recognised for his extensive and unique collection of photographic plant portraits that reveal the tactile qualities, intricate forms and uncanny aspects of flora.
